Meisterfeld Psychological
Dog Trainer Consultant
Hi I am James Webster: I am volunteering
this testimonial to C.W. Meisterfeld and to
people who need behavioral help with there
companion dog(s).
The philosophy not only works on canines
but people also. C.W. philosophy is based on
mutual respect (the golden rule) The
philosophy has helped me stop a twenty-five
year (one to two packs a day) cigarette
habit cold turkey. It is helping me not to
revert to the old behavior patterns that
disabled my intuitive think patterns. In
effect it has shown me that I have a free
will and the correct thoughts have lead me
from reverting.
This type of training also works on dogs
because of their innate willingness to serve
(WTS). There mind capacity is that of a
three to five year old child and that means
they can learn through communication. You
can teach them what words mean, define their
territorial boundaries and define what the
dog can do through verbal language and hand
signals. Most information is communicated
via body language.
When you resort to violent and/or
dominate you destroy (breakdown, inhibit,
short-circuit) that bond between the canine
and man. Meisterfeld say's, man changed
against his will is of the same opinion
still. The same could be said for companion
dogs.
The key to this is getting the innate
willingness to serve activated. Once that is
triggered you can change behavior with
communication. To get canines willingness to
serve activated is to treat him like a dog.
Once you start treating a dog like a dog you
are actually respecting him because a dog
cant handle the emotional baggage we humans
carry around with us (don't dump your
troubles on your dog) the dog can't cope
with thinking he is better than you or equal
to you. It is your job to be his master.
If you are not in control he will be
forced to take over and to express him-self
he uses his teeth. To stay in control and to
express his dominance he bites. It is normal
for the dog to think, "What does he
want me to do. Please tell me."
I learned, and I am still learning, from
Dr. Meisterfeld how to maintain the changes.
That change in me enabled me to save my
dog's life. Equally important is
Meisterfeld's psychological Dog training
principles of behavior conditioning with
respect and trust. The principles have
greatly enhanced the harmony and inner peace
within my family, my fellow employees and
even the stranger on the street. Thank you
C.W. Meisterfeld.
